My Bio

My name is Sarah Benefield, and I am the media specialist for the Miller County School system. I graduated from Miller County High School in 2001.

I attained my Bachelor's in Secondary English Education from Thomas University in 2005. From 2005-2018, I taught English Language Arts and Literature/Composition classes. I have taught grades 7-11, but most of my time teaching was in grades 8 and 9.

In 2012, I completed my Master's in Library and Information Science through Valdosta State University, fulfilling requirements to become certified as a school media specialist.

About the Media Center

This is my first year as a media specialist, and I am very much enjoying working in the media center.

Students are always welcome in the media center, from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm. The media center is a place for students to research information, either on computers or in our reference materials, as well as a place to find a good book to read.

Students can browse for books from anywhere using our Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC).
