We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for our current 7th grade students that will take place next school year! Miller County Middle School is partnering with Teaching Through Travel to provide a Georgia Studies Tour, giving students the chance to see the Georgia Studies curriculum come alive outside the classroom.
This unforgettable trip is planned for the week before Thanksgiving Break next year and will include visits to historic and educational sites across our great state. Students can look forward to experiences such as exploring River Street in Savannah, taking a ghost tour, visiting the Georgia State Capitol, and enjoying meals at restaurants in downtown Atlanta.
An informational meeting for parents will be held on Tuesday, October 21 at 6:00 PM in the Cafeteria. During this meeting, Preston Poitevint, director with Teaching Through Travel, will share details about the trip, including cost, fundraising opportunities, itinerary, and more.
We are excited to offer this enriching experience to our students and hope all of our current 7th grade families will make plans to attend the meeting and learn more about this memorable adventure!
