I would like to welcome all the students, faculty, and staff back to Miller County Middle School for the 2020-2021 school year. It is an honor to serve as your principal, and I look forward to meeting the goals that have been established for our school and district. I would like to thank our superintendent for allowing parents a choice between online and face to face instruction in these uncertain times. We have established protocols to ensure the safety of our face to face learners in the school building. Our faculty and staff are committed to providing instruction in a manner that limits contact and exposure to shared items in the classroom. Extra calculators, crayons, and other school supplies have been ordered which will allow each student to have their own individual instructional tool in the classroom. Also, cleaning supplies have been donated and purchased by the district for cleaning between each class rotation. All students and staff will be checked for a fever or symptoms before entering the building every day. Our school nurse has worked diligently to make plans for dispensing the medicines and caring for students in a way that will limit any exposure of sickness to other students. We are asking that students bring a water bottle with them every day to school. The water fountains will be turned off to deter any spread of viruses. I appreciate the parent input over the last month with our digital surveys. Your feedback is imperative as we make decisions on the future of our instructional process.
